Or'el Designs Update: Summer Highlights and Exciting News!

I hope you all are having a wonderful summer! I can hardly believe how quickly it’s flown by. It’s been a busy but incredibly exciting couple of months here at Or'el Designs. We’ve had a fantastic summer as a family, filled with days out, playing in the garden, crafting, and spending quality time with loved ones. It’s so important to cherish these moments with the boys - they grow up so fast! Of course, balancing work with summer fun has been a bit of a challenge, with a few late nights needed to keep everything running smoothly.
One of the biggest milestones this summer was launching our very first calendar! I’m so grateful to God for the interest and number of orders we received! It was a labour of love to convert around 900 posters into calendars, but the joy of seeing them come to life made it all worth it. I’m now working on a January-to-December 2025 version of the calendar, which you can preorder on the website now!
Creating this calendar for the first time was a great learning experience, and I’m excited to tweak and improve the design and process for next year. If you enjoyed the artwork in the calendar, I’m starting to create canvas-style prints, both framed and unframed, which will be available on the website soon.
Another exciting project that came to fruition is my very first children’s illustrated book. This has been a project that I’ve been working on for the last couple of years on and off. I’m passionate about creating books for the next generation with good Biblical based messages in a fun, wholesome way. With so much out there that I wouldn’t want my own kids to read, it was incredibly special to see this project completed. The books arrived on my boy’s 7th birthday, which was such a fitting moment, especially since we had just visited the safari park for his birthday treat and we got to see the real Zebedee!
The book is now available on the website, and I pray it will be a blessing to your little ones or any children in your life. It will also be available on Amazon soon.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to introduce new home products, including Menorahs, Shabbat candle holders, and coasters. I’m also starting to brainstorm ideas for another children’s illustrated book, and I’ll be adding more designs to our greetings card collection.
