The Joy of Creation: Or'el Designs' New Calendars

It's an exciting day at Or'el Designs! The artwork for our new calendars has just come back from the printers! As I sit here, surrounded by stacks of colourful prints, I'm ready to dive into the final phase of this project—assembling the calendars. I’ll need some strong coffee and long tables for this part, but it's all going to be worth it! This journey has been amazing, and while it involved a lot of work, I've loved every moment of it.

Creating these Messianic/Biblical calendars has given me a profound appreciation for the intricate process involved and how full a year it is with all the Biblical Feasts and dates. Each Feast is a celebration that continually reminds us of God's promises, His unwavering love, and faithfulness. They all point to Our Messiah, bringing a continuous reminder of what the Lord has and will do.

Introducing the Or'el Designs Calendar

We are proud to introduce our brand new Or'el Designs calendar, available in two editions: September 2024 to December 2025, and January to December 2025. This unique calendar is more than just a tool to mark the days—it's a celebration of the diverse names of God. Each month is dedicated to a different name, exploring its profound meaning in Hebrew, accompanied by handcrafted watercolour and illustration artwork that beautifully expresses the essence of each name.

From Adonai Shalom, symbolising the 'Lord of Peace,' to Adonai Nissi, declaring 'The Lord is my Banner,' every page serves as a poignant reminder of the majesty and love of our Creator. We invite you to journey through the months, experiencing the richness of these divine names and finding inspiration in the truth that our God reigns supreme and loves you intimately.

Behind the Scenes: The Creation Process

Bringing this calendar to life has been a labour of love. It started with choosing what the theme of the calendar was going to be. Then what names of God I was going to have for each month. Designing and painting artwork for each. Adding the Hebrew (help from my Pastor!) and meaning of the name. Working out the layout of each page. Creating the template for the grid and then populating each month with the different dates and Feasts and much more.

Once the designs were complete, they were then sent to the printers. And now they have all arrived so it's time to assemble these pieces into the final product.
